| Only 25 golfers again but what happened to the uniques?... |
 The organized picks and round 1 standings for this week's
tournament are up on the site. We chose 25 golfers. No one was
unanimous, but The Cheetah made it on all but one team. Matt
Kuchar and Hunter Mahan tied for second favorite, picked 8 times
each. Adam Scott got the nod 7 times. Bubba Watson, Z.J. and
Jason Dufner show up on 6 teams each. Lee Westwood and Bo Van
Pelt are in the good 5 times each. Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy,
Ernie Els and Rickie Fowler are four-baggers. This week's treys
are Gray-me McDowell, Keegan Bradley, Nicolas Colsaerts and
Brandt Snedeker. Fredrik Jacobson, Martin Laird, Phil Mickelson
and D.J. are all deuces.Only four unique picks. Dan had two and Hugh had two. That's it. No more. We did pick almost a third of the field, but this is still a bizarre set of picks. One favorite, only 3 golfers picked by more than half of us, but only 4 uniques by 2 players. This one's gonna be tight. And it's being played in Akron, so you know damn well it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later,
