 The alphabetized picks and round 1 standings for this week's
tournament are up on the site. We chose 28 golfers. Adam Scott
was the most popular pick, making it on to 12 teams. Kuchar and
Mickelson tied for 2nd favorite, chosen 11 times each. Jason
Day got the nod 7 times. Keegan and Ernie were liked by 6
players each. Dufner, Oosthuizen, Pettersson and the man with
two last names, Johnson Wagner, are all 4-baggers. Lots of
treys: Brian Davis, Ryan Palmer, Johnny Vegas, Johnny What
(huh?), Johnny Rollins, Gay Brian and Gay Justin. The deuces
include Ricky Barnes, Paddy Harrington, Hunter Haas and Jonas
Blixt (gee, how the hell did I miss him?).Seven unique picks, which is low for this field, I think. Dan and Mike M. are the leaders with 2 each. Jordie, Hugh and Dave B. have one each. The other 10 of us will be without uniqueness this week. Quite an interesting set of picks. I expected a few more uniques, but we've got enough deuces and treys to make up for that. The field is a little better than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The only bad thing is they are playing in Texas, so I'll have to make sure the Smell-A-Vision is turned down on my TV. Other than that I think it's gonna be a good one... oh yea, a damn good one... Let's get it on! Later,
