Dan Wins The W.G.C.-Bridgestone Invitational! |
Fortunately no one picked Furyk... |
Dan was only one of two players to have any unique picks this
week and it did make a difference. The real difference was Mr.
Squirmy, winner Keegan Bradley. Three players had him on on
their team and as one might expect they finished 1-2-3. But
Dan's unique of t16 Kyle Stanley shot a final round 67 and made
him enough cash to edge out Chris by $48,000. Chris made the
mistake of picking Lee "Mr. 81 on Saturday" Westwood, who really
needs to look into a long putter, then if they rule them
illegal, quit the game. Jordie finally cashed this year,
finishing third, $14,750 behind Chris. Bill finished a distant
4th. Chris extended his Summer Season lead to almost $2.5 million. Dave B. remained in 2nd. Dan made a giant leap from 13th to 3rd and trails Dave by just short of $240k. Brett fell one spot to a close 4th. Bill moved ahead of Randy in the Year-Long race. Dan made another big jump from 9th to 3rd. Brett again fell to the bubble spot. No time to rest. The next event in about 3˝ days is the final major of the year, Glory's Last Shot, The PGA Championship. They're playing at Kiawah Island in South Carolina. If the wind blows 81 will be a good score, so be sure to pick Westwood. I know I am. Get those picks in on time. Later, |
