| 24 golfers and 8 uniques... now that's how you pick a major... |
 The organized picks and round one standings for this year's
final major are on the site. We chose 24 golfers. Tiger was
the favorite, one ballsy player short of unanimous. Henrik
Stenson was the 2nd most popular pick, showing up on 11 teams. The
Phil was chosen 9 times. Mahan got 8 votes. Adam Scott and
Keegan Bradley are on 7 teams each. Westwood got the nod 6
times. Stricker, Dufner, Zach and Brandt were all picked 5
times each. Kuchar and Haas are four-baggers. Furyk is the
lone trey. The only 2 deuces are Jason Day and Dustin Johnson.Eight uniques. Chris is the clear leader with 3. Jordie, Bill, Dan, Dave A. and Mike D. have one each. The remaining 9 of us will try for "Glory's Last Shot" without the help or hindrance of the almighty unique pick. Here we go. Our last shot at tournament big money. Only four golfers were picked by more than half of us, but we have an unusually low number of uniques, deuces and treys. In fact, this week is the first time all year less than half of the picks are 1's, 2's and 3's. With a lot of mid-range picks, it's going to take more than one lucky golfer to pull off a winner this week. If the course dries out the scores are going to soar. The rough is as brutal as I've seen in a long time. Dave B. will be at Oak Hill on Saturday. I asked him to sneak some pictures, but I'm sure the PGA is hooked in tight with the NSA and that email was intercepted and read and there will be several agents on the grounds watching for him. Be careful Dave and remember, you can always seek asylum in the corporate tent. I'm pretty sure that's international law. With this interesting set of picks and a great old style course, and regardless of whether Dave has battery cables hooked to his testicles or not, it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later,
