| Not too much risk taking with the picks, but there will be some on the course... |
 The picks for this week's tournament are on the site. I won't
put up any standings until play is done for the day, due to the
format. The standings won't make much sense until we get closer
to the finals, anyway. We chose 26 golfers. No one was really
close to unanimous, but #1 overall seed Henrik Stenson was our
favorite, picked 12 times. Jason Day and Hunter Mahan are each
on 10 teams. Youngsters Rory and Jordan were chosen 8 times
each. D.J. got the nod 7 times. Garcia and Poulter are on 6
lists each. Four of us like Bubba. Treys and deuces abound.
The treys are Bradley, Dufner, English, Kuchar, Rose and Z.J.
The deuces include DeLaet, Horschel, Moore, Simpson and Walker.Six unique picks this week. Mike D. has 2. Randy, Dave A., Mike M. and I have one each. The other 10 players had their picks matched up. This one certainly is different. Every year we've played this it has been pivotal in the Spring Season and Year-Long races. It may not have determined the winners of those pools, but it has definitely put some early separation in them. It doesn't look like this year will be any different. We have some clear favorites but 17 of the 26 picks are uniques, deuces or treys. It's a bunch of 18 hole matches, anyone can beat anyone, anything can happen. The course sucks, but that really doesn't matter. This is match play... mano-a-mano... lose and you're done... that means it's just gotta be a pretty good one... Let's get it on! Later,
