| So many big names to pick, so little time... |
 The alphabetized picks and round one standings are on the
site. We chose 31 golfers. Rory, despite his problems at PGA
National last week, was chosen by 11 of us and is the most
popular golfer this week. Jason Day is the 2nd favorite, picked
10 times. A sober and clean D.J. made the cut for 9 of us. The
Bubba is on 8 teams. Seven of us hope Paul Casey will continue
playing well. Patrick Reed and Adam Scott show up 5 times
each. Koepka got the nod 4 times. Youngsters Matsuyama and
Spieth are the only treys. The deuces include Walker, Furyk,
Poulter, Mickelson and Snedeker.Lots of uniques, 16 altogether. Chris and Jordie lead the way with 3 each. Dave and I have 2 each. Randy, Bill, Steve, Dan, Hugh and Mike M. have 1 each. Joe, Brian and Mike D. found no Blue Monster uniques. The rule changes passed. They don't usually publish the purse distributions for these WGC events until they're over, and they didn't again this year, so I had to somewhat guess for the in-tournament standings. Hopefully what they decided to give out won't be much different from what I calculated. Another interesting set of picks. We don't seem to mind taking chances when we get to pick from the world top 70 or so. Who would? They're all suppose to be good. We have more than half of our picks as uniques and almost 75% uniques, deuces or treys. I had forgotten how much they tortured this course from the old "Blue Monster". It's a mean sumbitch now and if it continues to dry out and the wind blows they'll be crying like little girls. And when they're bitching it usually means good golf pooling... Hell yea it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later,
