 The organized picks and round one standings for this week's
tournament are on the site. We chose 28 golfers. D.J. is the
favorite and a unanimous choice. Jason Day came in 2nd in the
popularity contest, picked by all but one of us. Matt Kuchar
shows up on 13 teams. Snedeker, Furyk and Finau were chosen 10
times each. Nine of us like Emiliano Grillo. Canuck Graham
DeLaet got the nod 4 times. Jon Rahm is the only trey. The
deuces include William McGirt, David Hearn and last minute
quitter Charley Hoffman.Aboot the highest percent of uniques this year. Sixteen's a lot eh? Chris took the Cup with 4. Hugh has 3. Oliver, Dan and Mike M. have 2 each. Andrew, Joe and Randy have one each. The other half of the Pool won't know the joy or sorrow of a Canuck unique. Bill, Brian T. and I have the same 7 golfers. The favorites are clear and plentiful, but not as plentiful as the uniques. This is aboot what I expected after looking at the field list. Many of us figured it's a good tournament to take a chance; pick a few favorites and then roll the dice. The rewards could be a lot of Loonies and the purse is low so if it doesn't work out you won't get totally hosed. There will be plenty of hockey talk over poutine, jam-busters and Timmy's double-doubles. And they may even play some golf, for sure. Get your two-four ready for the weekend, this is gotta be a good one... Let's get it on eh! Later,
