| The uniques abide... |
 As a group we did pretty well
with our 32 golfers and 17 unique picks this week. We had 15 of
the top 20 and 10 of the top 11 golfers. Of those top 10 picks,
7 were unique picks and one was a deuce. Of the uniques
Bill had the best one, winner Patrick Reed, and rode him to
victory by $386,287 over Oliver. It was Bill's 2nd win of the
year. Bill also had T7 Rickie Fowler as a unique and it was
looking like Bill was going to put a serious beating on us, but young
Rickie played the back 9 like a true American Ryder Cupper,
which he probably will be, so we only got a mild thrashing.
Oliver picked up his 4th cash of the year and was one of two
players with all 7 of his picks making the cut. He had T2 Sean
O'Hair as a unique. Brian finished 3rd, $238,453 behind Oliver
and had T2 Emiliano Grillo as a unique. Mike M. found the money
bubble, despite being the other player with 7 cut makers,
missing a cash by some $416k.I remained in 1st in the Summer Season race, but my lead was cut by more than half. Bill made a serious move, from 7th to 2nd, and trails me by about $248k and is roughly $198k ahead of 3rd place Jordie. Brian moved up one spot to 4th. First through sixth places are separated by less than $900k. I stayed in 1st place in the "TMC" pool and Chris is still 2nd. Bill moved up from 10th to 3rd. Jordie hung on to 4th. About $1 million separates 1st and 5th in this race. The final tournament in this pool is the last event of the year. The top 4 in the Year-Long pool did not change. The order is still me, Jordie, Mike M. and Randy. In about 3˝ days we go up the New England coast to The TPC of Boston and The Deutsche Bank Championship. This is the one that starts on Friday and ends on Labor Day Monday. This is a home game for Jordie and he won this tournament last year, so he is clearly the favorite. I don't remember this course at all. It is a TPC course, so that's not surprising. They have cut the field down to 100 so it will take some bad luck to pick a Friday trunk slammer. I'm sure some one will get caught cheating and be DQ'd. They are playing in Patriots' country... Get those picks in on time. Later,
