 Shelley was one of 3 players who had winner Bubba Watson and
was the only one to have Bubba and T2 young Jordan Spieth.
Throw in T5 Matt Kuchar and another top 20 finisher and she won
this week by $409,500 over Hugh. It was Shelley's first win of
the year and first career major win. Hugh finished $132,840
ahead of 3rd place Brian, which was the exact separation between
T8 Rory McIlroy (even par) and Fred Couples (+2), the only
cut-making golfers different on their teams. That one was
decided on the back 9 Sunday; Rory had 35 to Freddie's 41.
Bubba-less Dan finished a distant 4th.Shelley's victory jumped her from 6th to 1st in the Spring Season standings. Hugh moved up 2 spots to 2nd. Steve fell from the top spot to 3rd. Brian is a close 4th. Less than $800k separates the top 4 spots with 2 tournaments remaining. Hugh took over the T.M.C. lead. Shelley is now 2nd, up from 7th. Brian moved up from 6th to 3rd. Dave B. fell from the top spot to the money bubble. Only the Players Championship remains in that pool. Our next tournament in about 10 days is in The Big Easy, The Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Does Ernie play in this one. It should be required. I can't think of anything to say about this tournament. A $6 million dollar purse tournament in between two $9 million plus tournaments. Yawn. Get those picks in on time. Later,
