Joe Wins The U.S. Open!

Move over Curtis Strange...

The Rule 20-6 Golf Pool U.S. Open trophy.Four players had winner Brooks Koepka and the best of those 4 was Joe, who had 4 top 10 finishers and all 6 cut makers in the top 25, and he won this week by $161,107 over Jordie.  It was Joe's 2nd career major and first win since the 2016 Wyndham Championship.  Jordie had 3 of the top 4 golfers, but the rest of his team played like they really didn't want to be there.  Hugh finished 3rd, $131,816 behind Jordie.  Andrew found the bubble spot, $32,986 away from the money.

That was the first "TMC" of the Summer, so Joe, Jordie, Hugh, Andrew in those standings.  Next "TMC" is the British Open.

Jordie is 1st in the Summer Season standings.  Hugh is 2nd, Joe is 3rd and Andrew's 4th.  Pretty early in that race, but those 4 are well separated from the field.

A lot of movement in the Year-Long race.  Mike M. still leads by over $1.5 million, though down from $1.8 million.  Andrew moved up from 7th to 2nd.  I stayed in 3rd.  Jordie made a nice jump from 12th to 4th.  Less than $1.5 million separates 2nd and 9th places and with 7 tournaments to go that means a lot of folks are still in the hunt.

We have a week off then we get back on it in Potomac, Maryland at the TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm for the Quicken Loans National.  Up until about a month or so ago this was just called "The National" with no title sponsor.  I guess Quicken Loans found the cash to pay up and get their name back on the event.  This thing still benefits the Tiger Foundation, or whatever that's called, so I guess he'll be there to miss the cut.  Yea, so what.

Get those picks in on time.

Later,
