| Thirty one golfers and 13 uniques is pretty sweet... |
 When I was a young boy I sniffed a lot of glueYea, that's pretty much the way I felt making my picks this week. Still feel that way after round one. No hope but hey, just happy to be here... more or less. Enough of me and the Truckers. We chose 31 golfers for this first playoff tourney. Fellow competitors, at least for the first two rounds, Rory and Tiger, tied for most popular, showing up 13 times each. Adam Scott was next in line, making the cut for 9 players. Bubba and Keegan are on 7 teams each. Carl Pettersson, the man with far too many unnecessary letters in his name, got the nod 6 times. Van Pelt and Kuchar were chosen 5 times each. Phucking Phil is the lone four-bagger. Dustin, Justin, Ernie, Sergio and Gray-me are the treys. The deuces are Stricker, Westwood, Senden and Poulter. Thirteen uniques. Hugh is the clear leader with six. Mike M. has 2. Chris, Dan, Randy, Bill and Dave A. have one each. The other 8 of us are Dead, Drunk and Uniqueless. The Playoffs. Isn't this too early for such a thing? The NBA waits until it's warm to do theirs; MLB waits until it's cold... what should golf wait for? Hurricanes? Actually they did that last year and didn't have the balls to play through it. Just Do it and get to the Ryder Cup. Nobody really cares what lucky clown wins $50 billion or whatever this thing pays. Aw well, we've still got a golf pool to play the next three weeks and we've got a nice set of picks going this week... and the uniques are going to make the difference. They certainly are after round one. And no matter how loud the voices are, I still think it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later,
