 The alphabetized picks and round 1 standings for this week's
tournament are up on the site. We chose 31 golfers. No
unanimous picks. Tiger is the favorite, chosen by all but 2 of
us. Smilin' Matt Kuchar is on 11 teams. Nine of us like Charl.
Rose is a snowman. Westwood got the nod 7 times. Rory and
Hunter were picked 5 times each. Stricker, Bradley and McDowell
are all four-baggers. Lots of treys: Bubba, Gee-off, Luke,
Adam, Watney and Day. Only 2 deuces: John Senden and Man-boobs.Thirteen uniques and all of'em are playing. Chris is the leader with 4. Mike M. has 3. Bill's got 2. Hugh, Jordie and both Daves have 1 each. The remaining eight of us will not feel the pain or know the joy of the unique this week. The field is only 65 golfers so picking 31 is quite a few, relatively speaking. If this were a normal field that would be like picking 74 golfers. And 13 uniques, that would be like picking 31 uniques in a full field event. Nearly 68%, 21 of 31, of our picks are uniques, deuces or treys. I guess this means it's going to be a wild one; lots of different leaders all 4 days. Hopefully the new owner of Doral will keep his plastic head and gaping, bullshit spewing pie-hole off the air this weekend. I will have my finger on the channel button at all times, just in case. Despite The Dickhead being associated with this tournament, I think it's gonna be a good one... hell yea it will. Let's get it on! Later,
