Brett Wins The New Orleans Classic |
Always better to pick golfers who make the cut... |
Billy Horschel was the pick to have this week. Over half of
us had him, so it took a little bit more and Brett's team had
just enough and he won by $62,700 over Hugh. It was Brett's 2nd
win of the year. Along with Horschel, he had t8 J.J. Walker and
3 others in the top 15. Hugh actually had two golfers in the t8
spot and one at t15, but Brett only had one missed cut and Hugh
had 3 MC's, and that was pretty much the difference. Steve
ended up third, just under $69k behind Hugh. We had a 3-way tie
for the bubble spot, Bill, Randy and Chris. Brett stretched his lead in the Spring Season race, but not by a lot. He leads Randy by about $212k. Bill moved up a spot to 3rd and is $1.26k behind Randy. Chris came up 2 spots to 4th and is just under $385k out of the last money spot. One more tournament to go in this battle. The next tournament in about 10 days is the big money Players Championship, somewhere around Jacksonville on the most overrated course on tour. It will decide our Spring Season title and the "TMC". This might be my least favorite tournament in all of golf. I don't know if it's the ridiculous amount of money they play for, or the way they have tried to shove this into the "5th major" category (or maybe the way the media has tried to create a "5th major" category), or the way all the NBC announcers masturbate over the 17th hole and "its greatness"... I don't know, it might be something else too. Just can't put my finger on it. I'm sure I'll watch, but I won't like it. Get those picks in on time. Later, |
