The Deutsche Bank Picks Are Up! |
28 golfers and 11 uniques... Haven't I seen this recently?... |
The alphabetized picks and round one standings for this week's
tournament are on the site. We chose 28 golfers again, same as
last week, with 22 of them repeats and 6 of'em newcomers. Tiger
is the favorite, picked by all but one of us. Phil is 2nd to
Tiger once again, showing up on 10 teams. Adam Scott got the
nod 9 times. Possibly the two ugliest golfers on tour, Furyk
and Dufner, were picked 6 times each. Bradley, Rose, McIlroy,
Stricker and Day are on 5 teams each. Haas, Zach, Kuchar and
Webb are all 4-baggers. Stenson and Spieth are treys. Mahan is
the lone deuce. Eleven unique picks. Chris is well out in front with 4. Dave A. and Mike M. have 2 each. Randy, Dave B. and Mike D. have one each. The other 9 of us found nothing unique in Boston. As always when we're coming down the stretch we have a set of picks that will keep several of us in the hunt until Sunday, or in this case Monday. Three pretty clear favorites then a bunch of mid-range picks and enough uniques, deuces and treys to keep it real. It must be a pretty easy course because there are a lot of seriously low scores. The "Playoffs" are down to 100 golfers so no more than 30 will miss the cut. It's almost like a W.G.C. tournament, without so many unknown foreigners... just unknown Americans. It's the playoffs, so oh hell yea it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later, |
