Bill Wins The Heritage! |
Living the dream on a Sunday... |
Sorry for the delay in getting out this
results email. I could give you several excuses, but I'm sure
no one would care or believe me. One pool player who might
believe me, or least not call me a liar to my face like most of
you would, is this week's winner, Bill. Bill had tournament
champion Wesley Bryant as a unique. It was Bill's first win and
2nd cash of the year. He had only 2 other golfers in the top
20, T11's Matt Kuchar, who seems to only be able to do good
things on Sundays, and Kevin Kisner, who did not do good things
on this particular Sunday, so things were a little bit closer
than usual when a unique is a winner. Second place Brian T. was
$92,709 behind Bill and had Kisner and Kuchar plus 2nd place
Luke Donald, who kind of blew it on Saturday, T3 William McGirt
and T11 Jason Dufner, who put up a final round Lou Groza. Brian
was $179,755 ahead of 3rd place Steve, who had Donald plus 4
T11's. Mike M. finished 4th, $25,298 out of the last money
spot. Mike M. hung on to 1st place in the Summer Season standings, but his lead over 2nd place Brian T. is down to just over $70k. Andrew stayed in 3rd, about $867k behind Brian. Steve move up from 8th to the bubble spot and trails Andrew by about $1.3 million. We are at the 2/3 pole in this race. We get some extra rest before the next tournament. We won't play again until May 4 at the Eagle Point G.C. in Wilmington, NC for the Wells Fargo Championship. This is not the usual course they play this tournament. That course, Quail Hollow, is hosting the PGA Championship this year. Hopefully the course switch won't keep too many top players away. Enjoy your rest because the week after The Fargo is The Players and everyone plays in that one; too much money to pass that up. Get those picks in on time. Later, |
