 The picks and round one standings for
this week's tournament are on the site. We have 28 golfers on
the list with 22 playing. Everyone, including the players who
did not update their teams this week, picked Rory. So he really
doesn't matter. Rickie came in at #2, chosen 15 times. J.D.
shows up on 13 teams. Rose and Simpson made it on to 11 teams
each. Finau got the nod 10 times. Phil and Hideki were picked
7 times each. Casey is on 5 teams. Of the 3 treys, Kokrak is
the only one playing. The playing deuces are Gary Woodland,
Luke The List and Thurston's boy, Chucky.Nine out of 12 uniques are playing. Counting only those golfers playing, Oliver and Mike M. lead with 2 each. Bill, Hugh, Jordie, Andrew and Dave B. have one each. The other 9 of us who got our teams updated will not get to watch a unique hack up that tough 18th hole on Sunday. Steve and Brian T. have the same 7 golfers. Joe and Brian G. have the same teams. Tom and Mike D. effectively have the same teams as well. I thought this was one of those tournaments that the top golfers wanted to play in; and being 2 weeks from a major I thought for sure the field would be pretty strong. But only 3 of the world top 10 are playing, 7 of the top 20 and 17 of the top 50. I guess not. Must be some more important corporate outings to play. But regardless of who's playing, the shit is on the line for us. The Spring Season and the TMC are up for grabs. We went with the favorites, all of the W.G.R. top 30 playing were picked, but we've got plenty of uniques to keep it real. This is going to be one hell of a Spring finish... Let's get it on! Later,
