| If halftime hadn't come at the same time the tournament was ending, I wouldn't have seen much of this one either... |
 Steve and I own this tournament. Last year we tied for 1st,
two years ago I won and the year before that Steve finished in
the money. This year we ended up 1-2 and I edged him out by
$88,200, winning for the second week in a row. Hugh finished
3rd, trailing Steve by $58,389. Brian ended up on the money
bubble, $181,611 behind Hugh. The top 5 finishers all had
tournament winner Martin Laird. If Marino had realized on #17
that there are some flagsticks you just don't hit at, the
results would have been very different. Chris and both Mikes
probably already know that.Bill still leads the Season race, but his lead shrunk considerably. Brian moved up to 2nd from 3rd and trails Bill by $415,713. I jumped from 5th to 3rd and am $307,145 behind Brian. Dave B. fell from 2nd to 4th and is $237,944 out of the last money spot. I maintained my "Tiger May Care" lead. Steve moved up one spot to 2nd. Hugh vaulted 2 spots to 3rd. Randy stayed in 4th place. The next tournament in about 10 days... well, that's when the golf season really starts. Yes, it's the Masters. Spring is here, or will be by then. I hope. The first major of the year. The third "T.M.C." of the season. And will Tiger care? Will Phil care? Or even try? Will all these young studs be able to hack the pressure of The Masters? Damn, I can't wait. If anyone is going to the practice rounds I'd love to have some digital pictures of Augusta National for the website. Get those picks in on time. Later,
