The PGA Championship Picks Are Up! |
This is Glory's Last Shot, not that Fed-Ex thing... |
The organized picks and standings for the
year's final major are on the site. We chose 25 golfers. The
experienced youngsters Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy are the
favorites, picked 15 times each. Last week's winner Hideki
Matsuyama was chosen 14 times. Thirteen of us like Rickie
Fowler. D.J. was selected by half of us. Brooks Koepka and
Charley Hoffman are on 6 teams each. Paul Casey got the nod 5
times. Justin Thomas and Jason Day are 4-baggers. Jon Rahm and
Webb Simpson are treys. The deuces this week are Kevin
Chappell, Tony Finau and Ian Poulter. Ten uniques. Chris leads with 3. Oliver is next with 2. Joe, Jordie, Mike D., Brian T. and I have one each. The remaining 9 of us will not find Glory's Last Shot through a unique pick. This is what a set of picks for a major should look like. Four clear favorites, a few mid-rangers and then some gambling. The course is set up more like a U.S. Open then the U.S Open was this year. The long hitters are going to have to hit it straight. The rough is brutal and if it rains it's going to be just plain nasty. Thick, wet Bermuda is not fun. The greens are rock hard and just stupid fast. Looks like we are going to get to see a real U.S. Open this year. Regardless of what they call this major it has all the makings of a damn good one... Let's Get It On! Later, |
