Dan Wins The AT&T National! |
And he didn't flip anyone off while doing it... |
Bill Haas was the pick to have this week and Dan had him,
along with t8 Brandt Snedeker, t13 Angel Cabrera and 3 other
cut-makers and won by $62,802 over Mike D. It was Dan's 2nd win
of the year. Mike also had Haas and Snedeker, but Dan's pick of
Cabrera was the difference maker. Shelley ended up 3rd, about
$14k behind Mike. Chris was the only other player to pick Haas,
but finished 4th and missed the money by about $145k. Bill remained in the lead in the Summer Season race. Shelley made a nice jump from 7th to 2nd. Mike D. also made a good leap from 9th to the last money spot. Chris moved up 6 positions to the bubble. Hugh and I fell out of the top 4. This one's nice and tight, but we are only 1/3 of the way through. Bill maintained the #1 position in the Year-Long pool. Randy moved up one spot to 2nd. Chris came from 5th to currently secure the last payout slot. Brett fell 2 places to 4th. This one seems to get a little tighter every week. We get an extra week off before our next event. In about 17 days we will play the third major of the year and my personal favorite to watch, the British Open, or as the rest of the world calls it, The Open Championship. It will be at the "Home of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers" (why can't they spell Honorable right?), Muirfield, in East Lothian, Scotland. The British Open hasn't been to Muirfield since 2002 when Ernie won. Faldo won the previous 2 there before that, so that suggests the course requires some solid ball striking. I don't care, as long as someone craps themselves down the stretch or something British Open-like happens. And then when the tournament's over there's still time to mow the grass and get 18 holes in. I love this tournament. Get those picks in on time. Later, |
