 The picks and round one standings for
this week's tournament are on the site. We chose a mere 22
golfers. No unanimous picks. Hideki is the favorite, chosen 16
times. Woodland is the #2 most popular golfer, picked 15
times. The young Spaniard Rahm is on 14 teams. Thomas and
Mickelson were chosen 12 times each. Ten of us went with Kuchar.
The X-Man shows up 9 times. Finau and Simpson were picked 8
times each. Fowler got the nod 6 times. Gooch is the only
trey. Horschel and Champ are this week's deuces.Nine uniques. Oliver and Mike D. lead with 2 each. Hugh, Jordie, Andrew and Mikes A. & M. have one each. The other 11 of us will not get to have a unique jeered and booed by 200,000 people on the 16th hole. Most of us didn't screw around this week. There's 18 of us and we picked only 22 golfers. What is more amazing is that no two teams are the same. I'm not sure how we did that. Nine uniques and more than half the picks being uniques, deuces or treys probably helped. But we do have 7 golfers picked by more than half of us. Tight. That's what I'd call this set of picks, really tight. It's going to be close on Sunday. It's a typical TPC course, so anyone can win if they are on. Throw in the largest and craziest crowd of the year and it's gonna be a good one... Let's get it on! Later,
